  • Straight/sharp sided pothole now down to the hardcore, approx 10cm deep. Potentially fatal to cyclist/motorcyclist

  • The pothole here isn't really a 'hole' it's more like a crevasse about four metres long and about a metre wide. It is now completely hidden from view by flooding and at night it is really lethal. It has been like this now for over a year and as this is a route to two schools, with coaches going along as well, it makes it very difficult to use the road with two-way traffic. PLEASE GET THIS FILLED IN AND RE-SURFACED!!

  • This hasn't been 'fixed'!

  • Now the flood has subsided from the area (not down to the council work) low and behold the 2 pot holes are still there. If they did fix them they must have used rain water cause that is all that was in the holes this morning!

  • The holes are still there and the edges are still as sharp as they were.

  • I was amazed today to see that no action has been taken. Are OCC prepared to wait for a fatality on this busy lane up to the A436 before making a repair ?

  • Very bad pot hole has damaged my car

  • Getting bigger (deeper)!

  • The Hole is now really deep and very dangerous.. sometimes you cannot avoid it if a car is coming the other Way! Damaged my wheel and not just the tyre

  • Hi, I'm admittedly using this person's photo, who posted anonymously and I will also quote them. Credit goes out to them for the picture of the hole and quote. "The Hole is now really deep and very dangerous.. sometimes you cannot avoid it if a car is coming the other Way! Damaged my wheel and not just the tyre". This hole I'm going to reiterate is more than dangerous....dangerous is an understatement. This hole ruptured my car tyre and prevented me getting to my destination. This needs to be fixed immediately. It's unacceptable! Please sort it out! The hole just seems to get bigger and deeper all the time! This hole is like a crater it's so deep.

  • I e-mailed Ian Hudspeth (OCC leader) yesterday about this. Not even the decency of an acknowledgment as yet

  • Still there, and has damaged my car. Hopefully OCC will reimburse me for the repair as this is clearly negligent.

  • This pothole is en route to two schools and the road is used by parents, school buses/coaches and other regular traffic. To make matters worse, there is now also another pothole forming on the other side of the road which makes the damaged section very difficult to avoid.

This pothole was admittedly filled a few months ago which I did see but this must have been a faulty patch as the rain washed the filling out within a couple of days.

It has been growing bigger and bigger over the last few months and is now very dangerous. I personally know of 6 people who have hit this pothole and damaged their tyres/vehicles so it does urgently need to be addressed and a more permanent solution needs to be put in place.

  • April 2 2019 I hit this pothole and got a puncture - the tyre is not repairable - over £100 for a new tyre. How can I claim compensation !?!
