Lamppst 19 now damaged by Thames Water van parking right up against it.

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 5 minutes later
Some time ago, this was reported:
"A large white van has taken to parking on the pavement on the eastern side of Denchworth Rd, where the footpath for Tinkerbush Lane comes out. The van reverses hard up against lamppost 19, actually making contact with it, which will eventually damage the lamp post."
Lampost 19 is now DAMAGED, the access panel has been dented and pushed partway off the stem.
"I told you so".
In addition, the pavement is being damaged by the vehicle, the view of the roundabout is obstructed for cars approaching from the north, and now other cars are also joining in, parking on the pavement.
The cycle path is completely blocked: as is access to the manhole cover in the pavement.
The van is signwritten and appears to be a contractor for Thames Water.
If you had taken action when this was first reported, you would not now have to repair the lampost.

Ref: 347793 Thank you for your report; we have logged this as a fault on our management system. Our current policy is for our contractor to attend electrical & structural emergencies as a priority; these will be attended within a 24hr period. All other faults are logged on our management system, for efficiency, these are grouped by area and the date they were reported, and the contractor attends against a programmed of works based on this approach. Unfortunately we are unable to prevent people parking on the highway, I have passed your remaining comments of the footpath etc to the highway team to inspect and respond.
