Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 3 minutes later

We are approaching the first anniversary of this problem! I've done the dance from you to supply problem now I'm back with you! I don't really want to have to leave my outside light on to illuminate our street! So!

CAN YOU PLEASE FIX OUR STREET LIGHT

Thank you for contacting Oxfordshire County Council Street lighting, unfortunately we are currently only available to respond to emergency situations which may have an impact on the health and safety of members of the public, these will be dealt with within a 24 hour period.
Reported faults will continue to be registered on our management system and these will be tackled in coming months.

Updates

  • Thank you for your report, to enable us to log the fault to the correct unit can you please advise using the attached map the street light number you are referring to. If the unit is not on the map this would not be owned/maintained by Oxfordshire County Council and would need to be reported to the developer/landowner direct. Unfortunately we do not keep records of private lights.

  • We've just past the 1st anniversary of me reporting it! Forgive the sarcasm but I'm thinking of having a party on the 2nd anniversary! Of course you'll all be invited but you may have to bring a torch to view the extensive finger buffet!

  • Around 11 months ago I was told it was a supply problem (ordinally reported winter 2016) since then I have sent numerous emails been visited by 2 guys with a cherry picker (twice) who changed the sensor and bulb (twice)! Just a bit concerned it's my council tax paying for this ineptitude!

  • Ref: 250223 Apologies for the delay, we have logged a new fault to this unit as it appears that there was no confirmation it to be unit 15. We also have no record of anyone attending unit 15 on our managment system so will get this attended to as soon as possible.
