Insufficient cat's eyes road markings for night driving
Reported in the Road Traffic Signs and Road Markings category anonymously at 18:39, Sun 4 November 2018
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later
The Abingdon Road (A415) between Abingdon and the Culham Science Centre has very bad road markings and barely any cat's eyes for night time driving. Especially now as the winter period has begun when it is dark from 4.30pm onwards and the road is busy with workers travelling home. The majority of the road has no street lights, so drivers rely on the road markings which are barely seen and surprisingly few cat's eyes, which would benefit the situation greatly if they were present. Could cat's eyes and repainted road markings be put in place? It is a dangerous situation for drivers at night.
