Nelson Close Wallingford. Failed Street Light No. 3 Not Yet Repaired after two months
Reported in the Street lighting category by Warren Wright at 22:39, Fri 2 November 2018
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
The light, located between Nos. 26 and 24 should illuminate the western end of the cul-de-sac. Fault reported by me in August 2018, Scottish & Southern Electricity excavated in front of the lamp standard, then back-filled the investigative excavation in late September / early October 2018 after a member of their staff visited and peered into hole. As of 02/11/2018 Street Light No 3 still not repaired. Now intense winter darkness. Kindly exert 'friendly persuasion'of which you speak,, on SSE, on behalf of residents, on whose behalf you are fully authorised to 'Shout, Scream, Stamp and Be Sick'until repair work commenced and completed. Bonne Chance...
Thank you for your report, this was repaired back at the beginning of October by Scottish and Southern Energy, we have therefore reported this as a new fault, ref: 347654
