Huge pothole
Reported via iOS in the Pothole category anonymously at 12:49, Tue 30 October 2018
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later
So who comes out and marks the one to the right and not the huge crater to the left of the pictures, did they run out of paint?! It does meet the criteria, and this can be proved, what is the point in wasting resources to come out and finally repair one hole, when you will be coming back to repair the other at a different time when you eventually admit it is a defect. What happened to the common sense I have heard about through the Oxfordshire County Council publicity when it comes to repairing road defects, there is nothing to be gained by ignoring it now. Note the huge lump of tarmac by the road, clearly dislodged from the defects along here.

Thank you for your report. All potholes that reach our investigatory levels are on the system to be fixed. We will continue to monitor this area on our routine inspections. Regards

Thank you for a new 'copy and paste' response, can anyone clarify what this response actually means please as it is rather ambiguous? So i am assuming you are saying that this and the many other holes on this stretch of road do not meet investigatory levels as previous answers state that they do not meet the criteria to be a defect, and that on routine inspections they will be monitored so that when they do worsen and reach the criteria of a defect, will then be actioned for repair? Or that now it has been investigated, it has therefore reached an investigatory level, it will be actioned for repair at some point, in which case why is the routine inspection required? Could you please clarify the situation, and just actually repair the potholes, it would be a lot easier in the long run instead of putting up such a fight to avoid repairing them now?
Also, your response does not answer the question, one pothole is marked for repair, another only feet away is not, the one that is not marked is directly in the path of all traffic and is unavoidable without crossing the double white line, it can be proved that it meets the criteria, so why has it not been actioned to be fixed?

It’s still there and getting worse, being full of rain water hides it for unsuspecting road users to hit it.
