Speed of cars down norries drive

Reported in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 22:33, Thu 25 October 2018

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 2 minutes later

Cars are going way too fast down Norries drive. This is a rat run road of Wallingford. Cars approaching Norries drive are leaving a 60mph stretch and seem to head into this road at speed. In rush hour times it can be dangerous crossing road to walk kids to school. For the safety of children please can traffic calming measures be put in on the start of norries drive to force cars to slow down (as has been done opposite the school). Thank you.

  • Thank you for your enquiry. We would suggest, if you haven't already, contacting the Town council to see if this is a priority location within the town as, if so they would be able to highlight your concerns as part of the wider area and seek a formal speed survey of the road. These surveys then ascertain the actual speeds of vehicles along the route and can help guide if any further consideration / measures are required here.
    We trust this assists.
