Very Narrow Footways are difficult for disabled pedestrians to use

Reported in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 09:46, Fri 19 October 2018

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 4 minutes later

The footways on the High Street in Goring are very narrow and inconsistent. This makes it particularly difficult for disabled pedestrians to use them, especially those that are visually impaired. Please implement a white line on the footway's road side edge to help guide disabled pedestrians.

  • Thank you for your report and we apologies for the delay in response, old historic villages are often narrow and it is challenging to provide access for all users, the location given there are footways on both sides of the road and at this point in time there are no plans to significantly change the layout here. If funding did become available and it was identified as a priority location for Goring then further consideration could be given at that point in time.
