New street light not working

Reported in the Street lighting category anonymously at 10:49, Thu 18 October 2018

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later

The new street light installed in Manor Road is not working due to it not being connected to the electricity supply. This has been the situation for some weeks now. No point in spending money providing new street light if you don not bother to connect it!

Thank you for contacting Oxfordshire County Council Street lighting, unfortunately we are currently only available to respond to emergency situations which may have an impact on the health and safety of members of the public, these will be dealt with within a 24 hour period.
Reported faults will continue to be registered on our management system and these will be tackled in coming months.

Updates

  • There is little point in spending scarce public funds in installing this badly needed street light, if you can then not be bothered to connect it to the electricity supply.
