Due to the Thorney Leys road being closed by the Curbridge road Roundabout traffic should be being diverted along the main roads.Unfortunately due to the very poor signage on the main road by the traffic lights at the Esso Garage we are having full size HGV and LGV’s approaching the road closed sign and then turning in the Burwell Meadow estate. The Road closed signs on Ducklington lane state the Thorney Leys road is closed but unless you are a local you would not know which road that refers too, why don’t the signs say road closed next left in simple English to let lorries know not to turn in to the road? When they are attempting to turn around in Burwell Meadow they are Mounting the pavements and blocking the roads regularly with Young children forced to wait to use the pavements to walk by. This is the second time in a year that you have allowed the Thorney Leys road to be closed and yet have not cared enough or done enough due diligence on the road signage to make sure that it is sufficient and safe. You have allowed the road to be closed when it should be half closed with traffic lights controlling the traffic.
