Regarding: The incomplete and insufficient work on the highway & pavement outside Holly Tree Cottage, New Yatt Road, Northleigh.
I am e-mailing you to lodge my formal complaint about the highway works outside my property (Holly Tree Cottage) that are totally insufficient and being decimated by Bellway trucks.
The WO Highways department have removed a holly tree and raised grass verge and put in an incomplete pavement with mud bank outside my property with no roadside curb on this very tight corner. The Bellway trucks have reduced the mud bank verges protecting the pavement buy at least half a meter and are threatening to take out the roadside bollards.
This blind corner on New Yatt road was never wide enough or safe to take 2 passing vehicles, let alone 2 passing trucks, yet your department had ‘No Objection’ on the grounds of safety when the Bellway development was put in for planning mission with the West Oxfordshire planning department.
Now that the Bellway building works are in full swing you have totally changed your unsafe plan for the New Yatt Road and seem to still be undecided on what to do?
Please address and resolve the unsafe mess you and your colleagues have made outside my house.
