Recent marking on the pavement outside suggest that the double yellow lines are soon to be repainted. I would like to request that the lines outside my house are removed, but I'm not sure who to address my request to? The lines are unnecessary and there would be no safety implications in removing them, as you can see from the attached photos (no other yellow lines around the nearby crossroads extend as far).
I am making this request as I find it impossible to park near my home anymore due to all the commuters for the rail station and workers at The Orchard Centre who use local streets as a free 'all day parking' solution. Having a couple of extra on-street parking spaces might increase my chances of parking near my house, or at the very least would mean I don't get penalised when I am forced to park there!

The markings you refer to do not relate to the refurbishment of the lining, to remove the lines would require an amendment to the Traffic Regulation Order which involves a long and expensive legal process including full consultation, i regret that Oxfordshire County Council could not fund such a scheme at this time.
