A number of potholes

Reported in the Pothole category anonymously at 09:38, Sat 22 September 2018

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later

There are a number of large potholes along this stretch of road between Rousham Bridge and Steep Aston village. They are very dangerous to motorists and cyclists. I recently encountered a cyclist on the wrong side of the road because he was trying to avoid the potholes. I know the road was repaired recently - but some holes were left, and more have developed since.

Updates

  • Hole on The Beeches highway about 150 metres from the traffic lights on the left hand side is extremely deep and makes the road unfit for purpose. About 50 metres up from there is another collection of holes which encourage motorists and cyclists to move onto the wrong side of the road. Highly dangerous and well over the "depth" requirement to repair.

  • I reported this as well stating that it looked like it had been bombed, I have had a reply saying the matter is closed, but it may feature in future repairs !! IT NEEDS FIXING YESTERDAY, I'm struggling to know what they need the state of a road to be in before it needs a repair???
