Bollards outside Bull Inn

Reported in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 20:25, Thu 13 September 2018

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 5 minutes later

I am aware that the bollards have been erected outside the pub to protect the pavement at the corner, but it causes cars turning left out of West End to pull out widely into the Bicester Rd to avoid hitting the second bollard. This is really hazardous with traffic especially big lorries and busescoming towards the crossroads pulling out widely to avoid the hatched area and there have been several near misses,, and I believe the bollard has already damaged at least one car . While the bollards might be protecting the pavement they are making a difficult crossroads even harder to negotiate

Updates

  • I can only endorse the statement above. I live in West End and it is extremely difficult and dangerous to turn out of West End. If the bollards have been put there to stop pedestrians stepping out from the pub pavement, then it isn't working as I have seen people just walking between the bollards.
