Overgrown trees
Reported in the Report a tree problem category anonymously at 19:21, Thu 6 September 2018
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 4 minutes later
3 no. Overgrown trees in the middle of a housing estate outside 26 St.James which cause numerous issues all year round due to their size, and continual growth year on year with little maintenance taking place. 1. Proximity to properties 2. Blocking sunlight 3. Branches overhanging road at junction of st.james and worthington way which regularly get knocked off by large vehicles such as delivery vans and bin lorries. Number of private vehicles have to street park and the trees are having a damaging effect with overhanging and falling branches, sap and bird droppings on paintwork, excessive leaves, seeds and berries constantly dropping on vehicles and adjacent footpath all year round making a mess of both vehicles and paths which also becomes slippery when wet. The trees are also extremely tall which blocks tv and satellite signals for a number of households to the extent that they do not function. Summary, they need reducing in height greatly and cutting back.
