Tree at corner of Fettiplace and Orchard Way needs attention. Branches overhanging property and creaking
Reported in the Report a tree problem category by Editor MADNews at 07:48, Wed 5 September 2018
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later
Mock Acacia on the verge at corner of Fettiplace Road and Orchard Way. Originally there were three trees on the verge, one was diseased, one was damaged badly in a storm and there remains one which is now growing very well and looks like it might continue to do so for some time.
However, it is again now overhanging our property at 8 Orchard Way and the branches are creaking against each other alarmingly, probably causing damage to the bark and allowing infection and disease into the tree. We would like to ask if the tree could be inspected and pruned as recommended by the inspector. Even though the choice of tree was inappropriate to the position when planted (the saplings have nasty spikes on them and appear regularly), we would like to preserve the tree if at all possible.
