Lamp post in pavement

During new development pedestrian pavement has had new stones laid and tarmac filled in - around an existing street light. This means it is not wide enough for pushchairs or wheelchairs to safely use.

Thank you for contacting Oxfordshire County Council Street lighting, unfortunately we are currently only available to respond to emergency situations which may have an impact on the health and safety of members of the public, these will be dealt with within a 24 hour period.
Reported faults will continue to be registered on our management system and these will be tackled in coming months.

  • Many thanks for your enquiry , we will send an inspector to have a look at the site tomorrow. If its a new development it may not necessarily be adopted as of yet by OCC but we can definitely take a look and see if we can get the developer to action anything, if it is OCC adopted then we can definitely look into a remedy, thanks again and sorry for the inconvenience
