Street lamp out

Reported via Android in the Street lighting category anonymously at 09:19, Sat 1 September 2018

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Street lamp number 29 on Oxford Road hasn't been working for several months. As the lamps are also the only lighting for the service road, it creates a dark spot on the service road which is unpleasant for both cyclists and pedestrians at night.

Thank you for contacting Oxfordshire County Council Street lighting, unfortunately we are currently only available to respond to emergency situations which may have an impact on the health and safety of members of the public, these will be dealt with within a 24 hour period.
Reported faults will continue to be registered on our management system and these will be tackled in coming months.

Updates

  • Many thanks for sending this through to us, sadly column 29 was involved in an RTA and needs to be replaced. At the current time our resources are limited and hasn't allowed us to rectify column hits as quickly as we would like to. Sorry for the inconvenience with this, it is on a list to be replaced and will try and push it as a priority
