Drop at edge of road, no support at edge of tarmac

Reported in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 18:16, Wed 22 August 2018

At the edge of the tarmac there is a drop of at least 5 inches or more in places. Which leaves the rough edge of tarmac exposed to damaging tyres when pulling to nearside to let other vehicles through. This is in Claypit Lane, just east of Coweaze Farm. The edges are damages all along this road causing drops and dives if one is forced off the tarmac. The dips have been present for at least 3 months and are getting deeper. Today I damaged 2 nearside tyres having dropped off side of tarmac, and threw the tracking out also. As the tyres had gashes in them, immediate deflation occurred. Two new tyres and tracking reset at great cost. Fortunately the wheels were not damaged on this occasion.
