Large deep pothole in middle of road.

Reported in the Pothole category anonymously at 09:28, Sun 19 August 2018

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 2 minutes later

Pothole has been here for about 6 months (over 60 cm across and 10 cm deep). Previously reported many months ago via FixMyStreet. It is getting larger and with a new School term starting soon, it is likely to cause an accident (right on the way to the school). If a bike hit it, the rider would certainly fall. It is deep and large and right in the middle of the road.

  • Hi there - you have closed my old initial report from showing the same issue, starting the clock again on the time it has taken to fix this from mid-August. Please be aware that this has been ongoing since March 2018 as suggested above.

Also as suggested above, this will not only cause damage to cars (someon posted on my report saying they had had a large repair bill on a wheel), but would cause injury to any cyclist either hitting the hole, or trying to avoid it.

Of course, I'm sure you feel for anyone having to pay for repairs to their cars, but serious injury to a school child should surely be important to you?

I see that you have now marked the repair with spray paint, please can it actually be fixed before an accident happens?

    Thank you
