2 deep potholes on the north-east side of the carriageway

Reported in the Pothole category by Noel Newson at 20:32, Tue 17 July 2018

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 3 minutes later

There are 2 deep potholes on the descent from Boars Hill, about 1 metre in from the carriageway edge. Because of the contrast between the shade and bright sun they are very difficult to see. I hit one at some speed on my bicycle. Although fortunately I stayed upright, my tyre deflated instantly and I had to ask for recovery. It bent my wheel and I will be submitting a claim report. I have several more photos. Locations are SP493020 about 10m NW of entrance to OPT land and SP492021 about 20m NW of the entrance to "Foxcombe".
