Overgrown hedgerows and verge impeding motorists vision on approach to the bridge which is single carriageway
Reported in the Grass and Hedges category anonymously at 15:32, Mon 16 July 2018
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 2 minutes later
Motorists and cyclists approaching the Ascott under Wychwood river bridge,(which is a single cars width on the bridge), from both directions have no clear view of on- coming vehicular traffic or pedestrians due to overgrown vegetation. It’s highly likely that a RTC will occur here particularly because it’s the national speed limit, and vehicles approaching from the direction of the A361, are travelling down a steep incline on the approach usually at a speed which constitutes dangerous driving. A fatal accident could be prevented if vegetation cut away and speed bumps on both approaches.
