Rutted road surface, small pothole at start of abingdon road

When turning left from appleford road north onto abingdon road the road surface is rutted & cracking, it has been in this state for at least 2 years, there is also a small (6inch dia.) pothole in-line with a vehicles right wheel when making this turn.

  • Thank you for your report. Unfortunately it's not suitable for immediate repair but we have forwarded it to our Asset Renewals Team who will consider it when planning their future works.

  • The carriage way at this junction is in a terrible state of repair. So much so that I came off of my bike due to the multiple holes / problems.

  • This junction is now a total shambles. The cracks and ruts originally reported in July 2018 have worsened and large potholes are now developing. I have seen one hole marked for repair recently (although obviously not actually repaired) but this is insufficient - the whole junction needs to be completely renewed.
