There has also been numerous accidents on this road which is why the new speed limit has been introduced.. There has been a request for traffic calming measure on this road so that cars are slowed down.

There was another accident friday evening which could have been fatal. Speeding car smashed into railings and flew through the air. Popular road with runners, cyclists, horses and commuters to milton park. Please calm the traffic along this lethal stretch of road. It is narrow with many blind sweeping bends that cars and motorbikes use like a race track. Numerous accidents and deaths. Please act now!

The new lower speed limit will only improve safety on this stretch of road if it is enforced properly 24/7. There has to be some kind of traffic calming measure implemented to genuinely make this road safer; otherwise there will be a fatal accident.

Urgent action needs to be taken, too many accidents and near misses on a road that is used by many including cars, bikes (popular cycle route to Milton Park) horses and runners.

The accident on that Friday with the over-turned car was the second in a month, the first was a motorbike heading north who lost control and smashed into the front of a car who had just pulled out of Brook Farm. The motorcyclist required paramedics as did the elderly passenger in the car (for shock). Pulling out of Drayton Mill has become a gamble, the road can be clear one second and the next a speeding car or motorbike can be upon you. Please introduce traffic calming measures soon, the speed limit change has had no effect and it is surely a matter of time before there is another fatality on this road.
