This pothole (series of potholes) is difficult to avoid without stopping or moving into middle of road, it’s barely visible as a hole as it is permanently full of water, and has exposed metal (I presume the edges of the manhole?). It won’t be long before this causes damage to the wheels of my car, at which point I will be sending the bill to Oxfordshire County Council!

Updates

  • This has been going on for months and is VERY dangerous, it needs dealing with urgently

  • Agreed. Although this section of road has been flagged numerous times to OCC for at least 3 years - yes, years. I actually write to Ed Vaizey and OCC - nothing has ever been done. They used to cite a dispute with Thames Water regarding the constant sitting water - regardless, the water contributes most to the deteriorating road surface especially during winter months. It is simply outrageous that this section of road - mainly from the Wantage sports centre to the East Challow Cricket pitch - has not been adequately fixed for this length of time.
