Between Didcot and Harwell on the B4493 opposite Zulu farm

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 2 minutes later
I noticed this week there is an area of highway between Didcot and Harwell on the B4493 opposite Zulu farm where surface water ponds to almost the broken white line in the centre of the highway. Either side is new highway, part of the new roundabout and part of the housing and school area have working drainage but this middle section is older and not functioning correctly. The surface water also covers some of the footway such that pedestrians have to go into the verge close to the builders yard to avoid it. The deepest water collects at the entrance to the builders yard. When busses pass this area they can not avoid the large pond and water shoots up over the footway at about head height and into the verge. Sometimes pedestrians are not able to avoid the wave (it is very busy with walkers and cyclists each morning in this area. Please can you investigate and clean or repair the highway surface water drainage in this area.

Thank you for this report. Unfortunately it has been pinpointed in the wrong area as it is shown by Vauxhall Barracks, Didcot rather that Zulu farm, Harwell. I have made the inspector for that area, aware of this enquiry.
