Wrong decision tu build a roundabout in the middle of the double carriageway

Dear all,
I am currently daily commuting from Gloucester to Oxford and there are a few traffic flow obstructive type junctions which are causing permanent traffic jams and delays on this route (e.g A40 Eynsham roundabout, A40 Cassington village traffic lights etc).
Recently I have noticed that it has been started the construction of a new junction on the A40 double carriageway( A40/Downs Road junction) for the new development. But I have noticed that in place of building a continuous traffic flow junction with crossroads at the different level and with in/out access ramps, they are building a roundabout in the middle of the A40 double carriageway section which will be an additional traffic flow obstruction point.
I consider this solution being unacceptable and I need your help in requesting an urgent revision of the junction plans to be done. In this area a better junction solution with a better traffic flow needs to be chosen. https://publicaccess.westoxon.gov.uk/ online-applications/ files/ C93EE38D8C4F7B4F362D4D210BAA0BAA/ pdf/ 12_0084_P_OP--77784.pdf

There has been 3 accidents here already where cars cannot make the ridiculously sharp roundabout and end up colliding with the arrows in the centre. And numerous near misses whilst on it. I wrote to the OCC suggesting use of the ready made bridge and a slip road to get to it but heard nothing back. Unnecessary slowing down and hazardous obstacle on what was a free flowing carriageway. Poor decision making.
