Unusable cycle path
Reported in the Grass category anonymously at 19:16, Tue 24 April 2018
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 3 minutes later
Vegetation growing over the cycle path has recently been removed and has increased the available area of the cycle path that can be used. The vegetation is not the responsibility of adjoining landowners, but part of the highway, and the responsibility of the County Council. As can be seen from the photograph this stretch of cycle path is immediately adjacent to the busy A40, with no barrier or street lighting. The safety of cyclists using this stretch of path has been increased significantly, enabling cyclists to pass more safely, and to prevent cyclists having to cycle immediately adjacent to the carriageway. Can the remaining length of this cycle path to Oxford please be cleared of grass and vegetation and extended to the full width for the benefit and safety of everyone using the cycle path. Thank you.
