New halogen bulbs delivering excessive light ingress to child's bedroom

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 2 minutes later
Good morning.
We live at 12 Stanley Close, Yarnton, OX5 1UN.
Immediately outside our house is lamppost #4 which is circa 2 m from one of my childrens bedroom window.
Very recently, you have upgraded the lighting to be of the halogen / LED type. These are indeed excellent and we thank you as residents for it.
The problem we have however is the now very bright light is shining into the bedroom and despite our blinds is causing some sleep disturbance.
Acknowledging that the light splash is lessened in general using the halogens / LED type, please can you assist by adjusting the light such that it points more away from the bedroom window or better, please can you fit a small 5 cgm shroud to the back of the fitting to eliminate the light spill into her bedroom.
Your help would be very much appreciated.
Kind regards
David Hipkiss
