Manhole cover on Vineyard Abingdon, in road outside 65 Vineyard, very noisy particularly when heavy vehicles pass over. Road re-laid only Nov 2017. Problem began about a month ago, getting worse.

I can confirm the above report. There are three manhole covers in a small area. They have become increasingly loud over past month, and are now causing significant disruption to sleep.
Further, the vibrations are likely causing damage to the road and neigbouring properties.

My neighbours and I in St John's Almshouses were just discussing this today, and I came here to report it. Must be worse in the last few days. Sounds like a double gunshot every time a car goes over it - very difficult to sleep. It is the left hand drain cover in the first picture - close up for reference.

Spray-painted markings besides the manhole covers now, but still no fix.

All 3 manhole covers have been replaced. One is still very noisy when driven over, still causing disruption to sleep. This is not resolved.

Thank you for replacing these covers. For about twelve nights it was quiet. From yesterday the westmost of the three covers has started clonking again. Clearly not laid properly again. Please engage in some quality control, and correct your error as soon as possible, not waiting 6 months this time.
