Finger post sign damaged

Reported in the Road Traffic Signs and Road Markings category by Michael Wilkinson, Clerk Islip Parish Council at 19:46, Thu 15 March 2018

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 3 minutes later

One of the steel plate indicators on the new [18 months' old?] finger post sign has evidently been caught by a passing vehicle, and has broken away from the post. I have the plate in my possession.

The collar into which the plate was seated doesn't look too bad: it would seem that only the heavy solder (if that's what it is) needs replacement. Would OCC carry out repair and reinstatement, or, if not, would you kindly advise as to how to proceed?

Thank you.
