Road layout is dangerous and does not work
Reported via iOS in the Road Markings category anonymously at 08:35, Wed 14 March 2018
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
1. Drivers exiting George street often can’t see the filter light as the white line is too far forward - just needs a repeater on the light set opposite. 2. Because one lane (the left lane) on George st feeds into two which are often blocked by other cars, people are using the bus lane - there isn’t really enough of a delay from traffic to warrant a bus lane so why not make the bus lane left turn into the inside lane on Cherwell st? 3. Cars ignore the hatch area at the lights - install cameras - at worst you’d make a fortune from fines

Still no changes made to this so still not working. Constant horn sounding, traffic cutting through the bus lane, lanes blocked by cars, hatched area blocked by cars - it’s not an easy fix I know but adding a left filter light to the pole opposite the George st exit would be a good start

Still open, via questionnaire -
As more and more drivers are using the bus lane as a left turn escape there seems to be a natural resolution to the problem of the route being blocked by left turners from George street to the right lane to head towards Middleton road, however there is still the problem of no repeater left turn light resulting in constant horn blowing.
