Street light by Barleyfields not working

The streetlight on the B4493 Wantage Road, at the crossing point between Barleyfields and Didcot Hospital has not been illuminated for the last two or three days.

Ref: 340587 Thank you for your report; we have logged this as a fault on our management system. Our current policy is for our contractor to attend electrical & structural emergencies as a priority; these will be attended within a 24hr period. All other faults are logged on our management system, for efficiency, these are grouped by area and the date they were reported, and the contractor attends against a programmed of works based on this approach.

Apologies for the delay in response. Our Contractor visited the site on 04/01/2018 and found no fault. Please can you confirm if it is still an issue by changing the state back to Open.

Thanks for the update. There is evidence of digging at the base of the post, (which did not take place on the date you mentioned). I can confirm that the light is not working now and has not worked since before Christmas. There are several other streetlights nearby also not working.

Ref: Thank you for your report, we have attended site and found that traffic managmenet is required to fix the issue due to the units location, we will attend to this as soon as resources allow.

Over 13 months later (21 Jan 2019) this streetlight still is not working. To the best of my knowledge, it has not worked since before Christmas 2017. It is opposite a crossing point, where good visibility is important, especially for children crossing on their way to school.
