Dear Tony Thank you for bringing this report to our attention and sorry that this light is causing an inconvenience. Unfortunately following many reports of this light being out we had to replace the lantern complete. Due to energy saving and now that manufacturers are only producing LED lanterns our policy is to install LED lighting as replacements. Old parts are now becoming more and more obsolete unfortunately. We have however received a batch of second hand units this past week from a scheme in Oxford with old sodium lamps inside. I will arrange to get one of these fitted at the earliest opportunity. Second hand is now the only way we can get sodium units. I will raise this fault now to be replaced at the next opportunity our interim contractors can to access footpath works with hire of a skywinder. Apologies again that this has caused inconvenience to your personal life. Kind Regards Chris Marks - electrical officer at OCC
