Streetlight outside no. 20 Hermitage Rd not working
Reported in the Street lighting category anonymously at 10:58, Thu 26 October 2017
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 2 minutes later
The streetlight outside our house has not been working for a few months now. It lights up a dark alley so we'd really like it fixed as it is now winter and getting dark earlier. It is outside no. 20 Hermitage Rd. And the number on it is 7. I did email the council about this issue a few months back but may have emailed the wrong person.

This is still not fixed. This is ridiculously dangerous given that it is a regularly used thoroughfare!! I have no choice but to use this alley as it leads to my home. As a young women it makes me feel vulnerable as I can't see anything!!

Thank you for your enquiry, our contractors did attend on the 01 December 2017 and replaced the lamp, the unit was left working. I have logged this as a new fault.

The unit is working if by working you mean on but providing very little light!! Maybe your contractors should clean the cover of the lamp which looks to be full of either dirt or bugs!!

Ref: 341017 Thank you for your report; we have logged this as a fault on our management system. Our current policy is for our contractor to attend electrical & structural emergencies as a priority; these will be attended within a 24hr period. All other faults are logged on our management system, for efficiency, these are grouped by area and the date they were reported, and the contractor attends against a programmed of works based on this approach.
