Erosion of a speed bump

Reported in the Highway Schemes category anonymously at 17:53, Thu 12 October 2017

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 2 minutes later

The speed bump that corresponds to the 15mph limit along this road, which is directly outside my house, has eroded & traffic is therefore driving dangerously fast as there is nothing to slow them down. There is heavy farm traffic in particular that exceeds the 15mph limit & is dangerous to both people & dogs. I have young children & am concerned there is going to be an accident. This speed bump needs to be rebuilt to slow traffic in both directions. thank you

  • The current feature is not designed as a traffic calming measure to any approved standard, and therefore the carriageway will only be maintained for carriageway type defects to an appropriate intervention level. If traffic calming is being requested in the village, then this must be requested through the local Parish Council.

Category changed from ‘Other’ to ‘Highway Schemes’
