Line of poplar trees on Fox Lane may be a hazzard

Reported in the Trees category anonymously at 12:34, Wednesday 13 September 2017

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later

I live opposite a line of about 10 old poplar trees. Last February, during Storm Doris, one of these fell across the road without warning, narrowly missing a woman and child travelling down the Hill, and my house. The Police attended this incident. Another one further up the line fell about 4 years ago. I know that these trees are old because there is photographic evidence from the 1930s showing mature trees. I don't know who own the field on which they stand, (but the wood from the Feb fall is still cluttering up the verge) so it seems that nobody is looking after them. I am worried about whether they are still safe. Some of them lean alarmingly away from the prevailing wind.
