Street light by speed bump not working and overgrown by weeds

Reported in the Street lighting category anonymously at 18:54, Sun 20 August 2017

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later

This light is by one of the speed bumps near the end of village and blew last winter in a lightening storm. It has not been replaced or repaired since. It is now quite overgrown too so needs cutting back. Requires replacing to improve visibility for vehicles who hit the bump at speed in the dark, and also pedestrians who walk along the narrow footpath here

Updates

  • The Parish Council is aware of the problem with this lamp and our contractors have been working for some time to fix it - it appears to be a supply problem and not the lamp itself. SSEN are working on it - their ref: fault no. CQ4119.
