Incidents black spot

Reported in the Street lighting category anonymously at 23:53, Fri 11 August 2017

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 6 months, 6 days, 16 hours, 37 minutes later

The island in the road at the junction of Newman Road and Oxford Road,Littlemore, which pedestrians use, has light bollards on them. 10th July a car skid and went over the island knocking off the light boxes. 101 was rung and the incidented reported, the policr came out and removed the boxes from the road. 11th July (pm) a car got stuck on the island sounding like alot of damage had been done. This junction has had alot of incidents over the years that I have been here. Something really does need to be done about this junction whether the the speed limit comes down, maybe turning restrictions, before someone gets hurt. It is a crossing that the school children use.

  • The island is here to prevent right turners having a head on collision with southbound traffic and to provide a refuge for pedestrians to cross.
