Cycle path totally overgrown

The cycle path here is totally overgrown. It is so overgrown I can no longer take my two year old along it as she cries as all the nettles and brambles hits the trailer.
I understand it is next due to be cut at the end of August. Surely if so long is to be left between cuts it needs to be properly cleared back now or even resurfaced with all the new houses being built adjacent.
Even when freshly cut it isn't wide enough for two bikes to pass without stopping.
Sorry, budgets are such it was only due one cut this year but we have been able to get two carried out. I will ask if the second cut can be carried out sooner rather than later but it will be dependant on the other programmed works. Please be aware I have to show this enquiry as fixed to shut it on the Fixed My Street system however it has been logged on the Highways system OCC_M_B

Thank you for your reply.
The path has become so overgrown and narrow that if it will only get one or two cuts a year could it not have the undergrowth properly cleared back?
I understand budgets are tight but if it just has a 60cm strip mown each side as before it is only the most temporary of solutions.and will be overgrown again in a matter of weeks.

It seems it's that time of the year again, this route is beginning to get impassible on a bicycle. Is hedge cutting scheduled soon?
