Speed Limit Sign problems

Drivers think the limit is 60mph between Green Lane Lodges and the residential area on Old Road because of the inadequate signs. This is very unsafe. Pedestrians including young children must walk in the road because there is no pavement. I, my children and dog were almost hit by a speeding car recently whilst walking up Old Road into Shotover (past no. 121), whose driver swerved to avoid us and then shouted that it was a 60mph limit. The 30mph signs along that stretch are not visible.
By contrast, where cars park at Green Lane lodges there is a visible national speed limit sign (first photo). This speed limit here makes no sense to me. Is it a mistake? After it, there is a dirt track and no public road (into Shotover), so no possibility to increase speed. Given that this sign is unnecessary, causing confusion to drivers, and resulting in danger to the public, should it not be removed?
On the other side of that sign, the 30mph sign is not visible (second photo). It is obscured by trees and bushes and is at an angle that is difficult to see. Finally, the signs down the hill are too small, covered by foliage and in the dark, so that drivers cannot see that it is not a 60mph limit, but instead a 30mph limit (third photo).
Please:
1. Improve visibility of speed signs on Old Road. 2. Consider adding warning signs along Old Road and up into Shotover that there are "Pedestrians in Road" as there is no pavement. 3. Consider removing the National Speed Limit sign at the top of Old Road as the road ends. It serves no practical purpose and is dangerously confusing drivers. 4. Consider lowering speed limit where there is no pavement on Old Road to 20mph.
