Sight lines when exiting Lords Piece Road are very poor.

Reported anonymously at 10:35, Thu 4 May 2017

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council and West Oxfordshire District Council 6 minutes later

Vehicles parked in the lay-by to the right of Lords Piece inhibit sight-lines. I was assured some time ago that there were parking restrictions in that lay-by but lines have not been repainted for some time. The problem is made worse by the need to be aware of vehicles overtaking parked vehicles to the left of Lords Piece Road. There have been a number of near misses and confrontations. The lack of parking restrictions from Edward Stone Rise to Lords Piece Road is a problem causing dangerous behaviour, confrontation and speeding.

  • State changed to: Investigating

Updated by Oxfordshire County Council at 13:16, Mon 4 December 2017

  • Since my original complaint, it would appear that the yellow lines in the lay-by, which is the source of the poor sight-lines, have been repainted. Instead of a thick single line denoting bus stop, there is now a permitted parking area! The obstruction is now legal!
