Incredibly dangerous road subsidence and manhole cover standing above road surface
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council and West Oxfordshire District Council less than a minute later
There is an incredibly dangerous subsidence at this point, around a manhole cover which now protrudes significantly above the main road surface.
The undulations in the road surface are incredibly dangerous, but this manhole cover in particular is standing several inches above the rest of the road surface, risking a loss of control incident for motorcycles and indeed causing cars and other vehicles to swerve into oncoming traffic and/or oscillate as they drive down the road at normal road speeds.
Please take a look and address - the A3400 is a major and arterial road for major towns and many feeder villages, and carries a lot of traffic.
This is a really significant safety issue, which is potentially causing issues and risks for many drivers of 2 and 4 wheeled vehicles.
