Road Closure Signs - BUT Road OPEN...

There are road closed signs at the Mongewell roundabout and there is the same again when you leave Reading at the Caversham traffic lights. This is telling drivers the road is closed and they have no idea where the closure is. The signage was there yesterday am and pm and at Mongewell again this am. This is causing confusion for thousands of drivers. Yesterday i took a de-tour to Reading which was a complete waste of time as the road was open all along with just some traffic lights. I saw one closure to the left of a small single track road which about 15 cars use a day (i dont believe a 12 mile stretch of road which is the only road to Reading and Oxford would have road closed signage on it just for this road). Can some common sense be used when putting the signage up to detail where the closure is and please remove the signs when the road is open. Most people ignore road closed signs now and this is a prime example of why. The road was open so the closure just wasted peoples time and added to the lost confidence in the accuracy of temporary road signage.
