URGENT | failed pothole repairs
Reported via desktop in the Pothole category by Professor Geoff Smith at 14:20, Monday 31 August 2026
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
The road into Yelford has become an unstable patchwork of poorly executed pothole repairs. Due to inadequate sealing during last year's work, water ingress has already compromised the patches, causing several potholes to become fully exposed again while others disintegrate rapidly under traffic. It is critical that these defects are properly excavated and permanently repaired now, before the arrival of winter weather exacerbates the structural damage and creates a severe safety hazard.
