30mph Speed Limit is excessively long and should be 40mph

Reported anonymously at 01:36, Sat 1 October 2022

The number of houses which are situated directly on Patemore Lane between Pishill Bottom and Pishill Bank is less than 20. The speed limit of 30 mph is excessively long for this rural stretch of road and it has minimal access points or hazards. Please can a 40mph limit between the National Speed Limit sign north of Pishill Bottom and then ending just south of Pishill Bank. This would prevent frustrated drivers who I often see speeding and overtaking cars along this stretch of road at over 50mph. The length of the 30mph is very long and is not representative of the design of the road, with there being long straights with good visibility on the northern section. This would then encourage people to actually obey the limit along this stretch, and better respect the 30mph limit further south in Pishill village, near Church Hill where the 30mph is actually warranted. The inconsistent limit on northern section of this road is definitely making people disregard the limit in Pishill village, which was not the intention when this 30mph limit was first applied. Attached is the section of road which I am referring and think should be increased to 40mph. It would be great if this problem could kindly be looked into.
