Yellow box junction required on Aldi turn in to protect cyclists

Reported anonymously at 13:38, Friday 22 July 2022

Traffic tends to be standstill on Botley road at peak times. This means that for vehicles turning right into Aldi, it's very difficult to see down the cycle path to ensure a cyclist is not oncoming before turning into the junction. If a yellow box junction was placed starting where the white posts have been installed to protect the cycle lane, stretching over the aldi junction then it would be much easier to see an oncoming cyclist when turning right, if motorists obey the yellow box. I have had problems with this junction both as a cyclist as cars will flash others to turn into the junction, and as a motorist due to the poor visibility.
