Possible giant hogweed - risk to public health

Reported anonymously at 08:55, Mon 20 June 2022

Hi, I am parish clerk to Kingston Bagpuize with Southmoor parish council. A resident has reported what he believes to be Heracleum mantegazzianum (giant hogweed) growing on the north side of Springhill, overgrowing the pavement. I have attached photos. He reported that his wife had suffered blisters after walking next to these plants last summer. Could this please be investigated - the path is very overgrown anyway (which has already been reported) so it's impossible for avoid these plants. The RHS notes giant hogweed as a risk to public health. Please inform me of your findings/actions. Many thanks
