Raised pavement blocking water evacuation in Lombard Street

Reported anonymously at 16:25, Tue 12 October 2021

Dear Oxfordshire County Council, I am writing because the problems I informed you about on 16th and 19th August 2021 have only partially been remedied. Following my report of damp issues being created by deepening cracks and erosion of the pavement against my house + damp and damage already caused to brickwork and woodword next to our door due to raised pavement blocking the flow of water from our drainpipe, a city surveyor visited the property. He fully recognised the issues and promised two bits of work: filling of the holes in the pavement + creation of a grove in the pavement to allow the water to run away from the house instead of being pushed back against it by a pavement with a raised level following public work. The filling has happened but NOT THE CREATION of a passage/groove in the pavement. The workmen who came to fill in the holes a month ago told us a separate team was coming for the training gully/groove. They never came. Please, can you let me know when we can expect this part of the work to happen?
