Heavy ponding on Audlett Drive & junction w/ Barton Lane Reported anonymously at 17:39, Tue 14 September 2021 Inadequate drainage is leading to heavy ponding along the southern channel line of Audlett Drive and around the junction with Barton Lane. The ponding is worst on the uncontrolled pedestrian crossings on Audlett Drive and at the junction. This encourages footway/cycleway users to cross at other points without any facilities, which increases the danger of an accident or injury especially for disabled and mobility impaired people. The deep standing water also increases the risk for two-wheeled transport (motorcycles and bicycles) using Audlett Drive and especially as they turn left into Barton Lane. This is most likely during heavy rain, which also reduces visibility and increases the likelihood of a collision with other motorised traffic involving death or serious injury.
